Materials Required:
For this activity, you will need 26 ice cream sticks.
Write 26 letters on one end of each, place them in a cup, and ask your child to pull out each stick and say a word that begins with that letter. Two or more children can play this game together – offer a race to see who can form the most words!

Materials Required:
You will require only three plastic cups.
Label two plastic cups with three consonants on each cup (eg. b, c, d, m, t, p) & last plastic cup with three vowels (eg. a, e, i, o, u). The plastic cup combinations should be arranged side by side beginning with a consonant, a vowel, followed by another consonant. The child can then turn the cups around to come up with different words.
#5 DIY – CVC Flip Book
CVC Flip Book is a common & effective tool to teach children CVC. Moreover, it’s easy to DIY!
Materials Required:
For this activity, you will require markers & notebook (with book rings) so that it’s easier to flip the pages later on. Alternatively, you can use paper & stationary rings.
Firstly, divide the notebook horizontally into 3 sections, and jot down the consonants & vowels.
Next, engage your child to write down the alphabet in each section. In this way, they can practice their writing at the same time!
Lastly, once the Flip Book has been completed, students can build words or manipulate the sounds in words to sharpen their skills.
